Government and Entertainment Join Forces for Women Empowerment Rally Nigeria
The Women Empowerment Rally Nigeria is now gaining national attention as organisers position it as a movement focused on unity, creativity and participation. They say it goes beyond politics and social gathering.
Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham and Eniola Badmus are part of the entertainment lineup. Their inclusion connects Nollywood influence with national empowerment efforts.
The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs supports the initiative alongside key government figures. Ibijoke Sanwo Olu chairs the committee, while Hannatu Musa Musawa, Rachael Umahi and Ramatu Tijani serve as co chairpersons.
This collaboration brings government leadership and the creative industry into one structure. It aims to strengthen planning and execution for the event in Abuja.
Nollywood figures such as Joke Silva, Rahama Sadau, Eniola Ajao, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele will play active roles in the programme.
They will support storytelling, stage performances and public awareness campaigns. Organisers believe entertainment will help mobilise a wider audience, especially young women.
The event carries the theme “The Power of 10 Million One Voice One Movement One Choice.” It focuses on unity across regions, ethnic groups and professions.
The entertainment committee will design performances that reflect Nigeria’s cultural diversity. This will help create a shared national experience.
The Moshood Abiola National Stadium will host the event. Organisers expect a large turnout from women across the country.
The programme will include empowerment talks, music and cultural performances. It will also highlight leadership inclusion and economic opportunities for women.
The rally combines entertainment, leadership and social advocacy. It reflects a growing trend of using culture to drive civic participation.
As the Abuja date approaches, discussions around women empowerment continue to grow across Nigeria.
