Blaqbonez Sues Odumodublvck Over Defamation Claims

Popular Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has reportedly taken legal action against fellow rapper Odumodublvck, seeking billions of naira in damages over allegations of defamation, harassment and reputational harm.

The Blaqbonez sues Odumodublvck case was disclosed by media outlet Albumtalks, which reported that the rapper, through his legal representatives, filed a lawsuit demanding compensation and several court orders.

Rapper seeks ₦2.55bn in damages

According to a legal memorandum dated July 7, 2026, Blaqbonez’s lawyers, Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, accused Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, of carrying out a sustained campaign of defamatory publications, intimidation, harassment and threats.

The legal team argued that the alleged actions caused serious harm to Blaqbonez’s reputation, business interests and commercial standing.

The memorandum stated:

“Our Client has suffered and continues to suffer significant loss and damage as a direct consequence of your unlawful conduct.”

Alleged defamatory statements highlighted

According to the court filing, Blaqbonez alleged that Odumodublvck repeatedly published or amplified statements describing him as a “sexual abuser” and a “sexual abusing bastard.”

His legal representatives maintained that the statements were false, malicious and defamatory. They argued that the publications damaged the rapper’s public image and professional reputation.

The allegations contained in the filing have not yet been determined by the court.

Court orders requested

As part of the lawsuit, Blaqbonez is asking the court to grant several reliefs against Odumodublvck.

The requests include:

  • A perpetual injunction restraining Odumodublvck from making or encouraging further defamatory publications or threats.
  • An order directing the immediate removal of all alleged defamatory posts and related content from his social media platforms.
  • A public apology and retraction to be published on Odumodublvck’s verified social media accounts and pinned for at least 30 consecutive days.
  • A public notice instructing his supporters to stop harassing or intimidating Blaqbonez.
  • ₦2 billion in general damages for alleged injury to his reputation, goodwill and commercial standing.
  • ₦500 million in aggravated damages, citing the alleged repeated and malicious nature of the publications.
  • ₦50 million to cover the cost of the legal proceedings, alongside any additional relief the court considers appropriate.

Additional allegations remain before the court

The legal memorandum also contains allegations of harassment, assault, battery, unlawful interference and threats to Blaqbonez’s safety.

However, those claims remain allegations and have not been tested or proven in court.

At the time of publication, Odumodublvck had not publicly responded to the lawsuit or the claims contained in the court documents.

The Blaqbonez sues Odumodublvck case has drawn attention within Nigeria’s entertainment industry as the dispute moves into the legal arena. Blaqbonez is seeking ₦2.55 billion in damages and several court orders over alleged defamatory statements and related conduct.

The matter remains before the court, and the allegations outlined in the legal filing represent Blaqbonez’s position. Odumodublvck has yet to issue a public response.
