The AMVCA 2026 winners list has finally been revealed after a glamorous night in Lagos. The 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards brought together leading actors, filmmakers, and digital creators from across Africa.

Held at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, the ceremony celebrated excellence in film, television, and digital storytelling. Moreover, millions of viewers watched the event live on Africa Magic channels, DStv, and GOtv platforms.

Several productions won major categories. However, “My Father’s Shadow” emerged as the biggest winner of the night.

“My Father’s Shadow” dominated the ceremony with multiple awards. The movie secured wins in major categories, including Best Movie and Best Director.

Akinola Davies Jr received the Best Director award for the critically acclaimed production. In addition, Wale Davies won Best Writing – Movie for the same project.

The film also earned recognition for Best Sound Design. Consequently, many industry observers described it as the standout production of the year.

Meanwhile, Linda Ejiofor secured the Best Lead Actress award for “The Serpent’s Gift.” Additionally, she won Best Supporting Actress for “The Herd.”

Bucci Franklin also received recognition after winning Best Supporting Actor for “To Kill a Monkey.”
